Job Title: Commercial Account Handler
Location: Leicester
Pay rate/Salary £25,000-£35,000
Type: permanent
Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)
We are hiring for a Commercial Account Handler that is experienced in Commercial insurance processes in Leicester. This is a premium insurance broker management company and you will be assisting in the conversion of new business, service of existing accounts and retention of renewals.

Duties of a Commercial Account Handler
In this role, you will be working in the Broking Operations team to assist the Appointed Representatives in developing their business, Reporting to the Broking Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting them in the conversion of new business, service of existing accounts and retention of renewals.
  • Supporting the other team members as required.
  • Providing advice and assistance as necessary.
  • Respond positively to all enquiries received from ARs, AR Clients and underwriters in a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Develop effective working relationships with ARs and underwriters
  • Ensure that Acturis records are created and/or maintained for all clients.
  • Ensure quotations obtained are in-line with the broking strategy.
  • Complete administration duties as required including issuing invoices and insurance documents.
  • Ensure that renewals are processed according to documented procedures and within appropriate timescales.
  • Ensure all outstanding actions are recorded appropriately within the system diary and followed up accordingly.
  • Liaise with the accounts department to assist with the credit control process.
  • Assist ARs with claim notifications.
  • Ensure that any enquiries that are not within your skillset or experience are quickly referred and followed up.
  • Assist other team members with any duties to ensure the smooth running of the office.
  • Handle enquiries from potential ARs effectively
  • Promote the services of Momentum
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be required.

  • Negotiation & objection handling skills
