We are hiring for fire door fitters and fire stoppers that that have a CSCS card in the Barnsley, Bradford and Doncaster areas. For the first project which is in in Barnsley you will have to be double jabbed as you will be working on a project in multiple schools and care homes. The second project will be working in multiple schools in Barnsley, Bradford and Doncaster however, you won’t be required to be doubled jabbed. The different projects will range from 3 months up to 1 year.

Duties of a fire door fitter and fire stopper

You will be responsible for:

  • Fit fire doors correctly
  • Repairs to fire doors, such as locks and seals
  • Fire stopping, such as batt and mastic installation
  • Undertaking fire stopping works in the built environment
  • Ongoing maintenance and refurbishment work

Skills and experience of a fire door fitter/fire stopper

As a fire door fitter/fire stopper, you need have experience with;

  • Element fire stopping qualifications
  • Ability to follow technical drawings
  • Ability to use your initiative
  • Confidence to work at height
  • Knowledge of building and construction

It would be beneficial to the Fire door fitter/fire stopper role if you also had;

  • Completed training course/apprenticeship
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn
