Job Title: Parts Controller

Salary: £23,000 – £25000

Location: Mansfield

Hours: Mon-Thu 8AM-5PM . Friday – 8.30am-2.30pm

Parts Controller overview:

We have an excellent opportunity that has come available for the right candidate. Our client is a well-established surface technology manufacturer. This role will be office based and this opportunity is ideal for a candidate that has a good eye for detail and good accuracy, proactive, approachable and professional.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining on time delivery, quick response to customers. Manage logistics flow effectively to meet customers’ requirements, interact with customers to provide process information and respond to any queries.

Parts controller key responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and requests by telephone.
  • Process customer orders , forecasts , applications and requests
  • Manage parts and logistic to meet customer’s needs and requirements
  • Dealing with customer specific requirements related to mass production process.
  • Arrange transportation effectively
  • Manage Item Change Requests.
  • Identify problems in relation to logistics.
  • Prepare pick lists and delivery notes, liaising with production and customers for updates.
  • Monitor stock levels
  • Maintain the necessary data bases

Skills required for the successful Parts Controller:

  • Team player
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • SAP experience (Preferably) MRP
  • Excellent MS system knowledge
  • Forecasting Knowledge
  • Proactive , approachable and outgoing attitude
  • Experience in customer service and logistics
  • Some Geographical knowledge both national and international

Other duties included in the Parts Controller role

  • Liaise with Sales department for any issues with related to customers
  • Provide support in any other departments
  • Liaise with Production , Material Controller with any changes to urgent orders
